| Xbox Offline Multiplayer with Two TVs | | Question | | I have a serious dilemma. I have two sons’ ages 10 and 8 that want to play offline multiplayer Xbox games without the split screen. The problem is that they tell me when playing “first person shooters” in the split screen fashion it is too small too see and allows the other player to “cheat” by looking on the others screen. They asked me to set up the Xbox where they each could have their own TV showing just their character. I tried to find a way to do this and could not figure it out. I then figured, Hey, I would just buy another Xbox and do this system link thing. I bought another Xbox and TV and linked them up, nothing happened. I soon realized you needed TWO copies of the game to play in this way. I called Xbox for solutions and they informed me since both kids were using the game I should buy another copy! WOW, how insensitive is that? Can anyone say money-making machine? Buying double copies so they can simply play offline multiplayer seems nuts to me. Is there a way to do dual monitor support? I cannot believe Microsoft has not addressed this issue for families with multiple children. | | Answer | Split the video signal to two TVs. Cover half of the screen on each TV. Be sure not to cover the same half on each.
