HDTV Tuner for Xbox Games
Question
Hi Hank, I was wondering if I need a HDTV tuner to watch a xbox game at a high resolution? Do I need the HDTV tuner only for high definiton cable or satalite, or do I need it to watch anything in high definition?
Answer
You do not need a tuner for video game systems. If a device connects to a display through any input plug other than RF/Antenna, then the display does not need a TV tuner. For high definition video games with a console or PC, you'll be connecting with Component Video, VGA, DVI, HDMI, or DisplayPort.
