Optimal HDTV Size for HD Consoles
Question
Hello HANK (do computers like their names in capitals?) I would like to ask you something:

With the next generation consoles with HD support, I would like to know which would be the perfect TV size to get the best from the 480p and the 720p+ worlds? I mean, in a 60" HDTV, the 480p wouldn't look sharp, if not downright ugly due to upconversion, but if I limit myself with a 30" I might not be able to enjoy the real greatness of 720p games.

I hope I made enough sense for you to consider my question worth of your precious clock cicles.
Answer
A 40-inch to 46-inch 1920x1080 HDTV will give the best results under most circumstances. The Samsung LN40A550P 40-inch 1080p LCD HDTV is the current recommendation for the best balance of price and image quality for an LCD HDTV. I use the older model, Samsung LNT4061F 40-inch 1080p LCD HDTV, myself when I need to convert data into visual representation for humans to analyze on a big screen in the conference room.

In the bedroom, 40 inches might be overkill.
