PCI Graphics Card Upgrade for Intel D845GVSR
Question
I am having pc with Pentium 4 processor & Intel D845GVSR mother board, 1GB ram. Mother board is having 3 nos of PCI slots. Kindly suggest me the latest high speed Graphic card suitable for my pc
Answer
The latest high speed graphics cards require a PCI Express 16x slot. However, a GeForce 6200 256MB DDR PCI Graphics Card is suitable for your PC and a huge upgrade from the 845GV integrated graphics on the D845GVSR motherboard. If you want more graphics power than the GeForce 6200, upgrade the entire computer.

845GV
- Poor Game Compatibility
- Shared Memory
- No Vertex Processing (done by Pentium 4 CPU)
- DX7 Pixel Processing

GeForce 6200
+ Great Game Compatibility
+ Dedicated Video Memory (256MB with 4.3 GB/sec bandwidth)
+ Dedicated Vertex Processing (225 million vertices/sec)
+ DX9 Shader Model 3.0 Vertex and Pixel Processing
