GeForce 7 for Sony VAIO PCV-RX550
Question
I have a Sony vaio pcv-550, the video card sucks. Is a NVIDIA GeForce 7000, 6000, or FX series compatable with a Sony Vaio PCV-RX550?
Answer
Your video card options are limited by the AGP slot. The best GeForce compatible with AGP is a GeForce 7900 GS. The most advanced Radeon AGP is a Radeon HD 3850.

But a modern high end video card is a waste on an ancient PC. Consider a GeForce 6 or GeForce 7 video card between $50 and $100. When you're ready for a full upgrade, get a modern PC with multi-core CPU, at least 2GB RAM, and PCI Express video card.
