DVD Player Turns On, Opens, Closes By Itself
Question
hank my phillips dvd740vr is turning on by itself and opening and closing by itself what should i do?
Answer
Your DVD player has been possessed by electronic demons.

Avoid prolonged physical contact with your DVD player. If you must touch the DVD player while it is plugged in, do not maintain contact for more than 3 seconds. If you must touch for longer than 3 seconds, be sure to remove the power connection, but do not maintain contact for more than 24 seconds. This is very important. Failure could cause the electronic demons to multiply and transfer to another entity. If transferred to a human entity, the infected should consume fresh fruits and green vegetables twice a day for at least two weeks.

After you have removed power, transfer the DVD player to an open space like the floor or a table. You will then be ready to vanquish the demons. It's a simple ritual. Point at the DVD player and with a firm tone of voice say, "You cheap piece of junk!" The demons will then be gone, but the DVD player will no longer function correctly.

Finally, buy a new DVD player. The Philips DVP5982 1080p Upscaling DVD Player is a highly recommended and affordable DVD player.
